At AgreePro, we take your privacy seriously and comply with our obligations under the Privacy Act 2020. To provide the services or products you request, we must collect some personal information about you. If information is anonymised so you cannot be identified, then this policy does not apply.

In this policy, "we," "us," or "our" means AgreePro Limited, "Agreement" means any form of agreement generated by you through the AgreePro platform, and "Document" means any deed generated by you on the AgreePro platform.
This policy may be updated from time to time. The applicable version is the one on our website. This policy was last updated on 23 April 2025.
What we collect
We only collect personal information that is necessary to deliver the services or products you have requested. This may include:
- Full name
- Contact details (email, phone, postal address)
- Location
- Date of birth and age
- Gender
- Vehicle registration number
- Identification documents (driver licence, passport, bank statement)
- Any information you provide to complete an Agreement or Document
- Photos or videos taken during online certification
- Your IP address
- Any feedback or opinions you give us
- Details about your personal life, relationships, family, health, financial affairs, assets, and liabilities (if required for Agreements or Documents)
How we collect it
We collect personal information from:
- You when you provide it via our website or any contact with us
- The other party to an Agreement if you have authorised them
- Lawyers who give independent advice or certification
- Other third parties if you have authorised this or if the information is public
How we use it
We may use your personal information to:
- Provide the services or products you request and contact you about them
- Verify your identity and comply with anti-money laundering laws
- Process payments for our services
- Improve our services and products based on your feedback
- Market our services to you by email or via third-party advertisers (e.g., Google, Facebook)
- Improve our website
- Protect and enforce our legal rights
- Any other purpose authorised by you or allowed under the Privacy Act 2020

Payment details
We do not collect credit or debit card details. When you make a payment, Stripe processes it and may collect your payment information. Who we share it with
We will only share your personal information when necessary with:
- The other party to an Agreement
- Lawyers who provide independent advice or certification
- Any lawyers you or the other party engage
- Hnry or Xero for invoicing
- Other service providers who support our website or services
- An attorney or property manager if required by law
- Trustees or executors if required by law
- Financial institutions or advisors if authorised by you
- Schools or childcare providers if authorised by you
- Regulators, law enforcement bodies, courts, tribunals, or dispute resolution providers
- Any purchaser in connection with a sale or merger of our business
- Anyone else you authorise
Your information may be stored on servers outside New Zealand in countries with different privacy protections.
Internet use and cookies
While we take reasonable steps to maintain secure internet connections, your provision of personal information over the internet is at your own risk. If you follow a link on our website to another site, review their privacy policy before providing personal information.
We use cookies to monitor your use of our website. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive so that we can recognise your browser. You can disable cookies by changing your browser settings, but this may limit functionality.
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to keep your personal information safe from loss, unauthorised access, or misuse. We store it in a secure cloud system accessible only by authorised AgreePro personnel.
How long we keep it
We keep your personal information for a reasonable period after your Agreement or Document is completed. You can ask us to delete it sooner. Lawyers who advise or certify your Agreement will keep it as required by law or their own policies.
Access and correction
You have the right to request a copy of or correction to any personal information we hold. We may charge a reasonable fee for copies. You can also object to the use of your personal information for certain purposes, including marketing.
